District Aging Office to Relocate to K Street NE on Monday

DCOA will temporarily close for business at noon on October 3 and will reopen at the new location at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4.

(WASHINGTON, DC) -- The DC Office on Aging (DCOA) today announced it will centralize all of its functions starting with DCOA’s move on Monday, October 3 to a new location at 500 K Street NE. The office was formerly located in the One Judiciary Square complex at 441 4th Street NW.
DCOA will temporarily close for business at noon on October 3 and will reopen at the new location at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4. In addition, the Aging and Disability Resource Center will move on October 7 from 1134 11th Street NW to the same location as well. Phone numbers will remain unchanged. The administrative offices can be reached at (202) 724-5622 and (202) 724-5626 for information and assistance on resources for the elderly and persons age 18 and older with a disability.
The new site is the former Rutherford B. Hayes School and will later serve as the location of the new Ward 6 Senior Wellness Center. The facility will combine all administrative functions of the Office on Aging and serve walk-in clients age 55 and older who are seeking employment and training. It will also provide resources and assistance for District residents age 60 and older, and persons age 18 and older with disabilities.
