(Washington, DC) All 33 firehouses in the District and the DC Fireboat will act as collection points for the 2004 ‘Toys-For-Tots’ campaign. A press conference will announce the campaign Tuesday, November 23 at Union Station.
District officials, including Mayor Williams, Fire/EMS Chief Adrian H. Thompson, and Police Chief Charles Ramsey, will make the announcement in a ceremony that features the famous Norwegian Electric Train, which runs all season inside Union Station.
“We are honored to be associated with such a warm and caring effort,” said Chief Thompson. “Our men and women exemplify tradition, and there could be no finer tradition in which to be involved.”
