(Washington, DC) DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel who exemplify the highest standards of bravery, commitment, and public service will be honored at a Departmental Awards Ceremony.
"The department takes great pride in recognizing members of our ranks who have saved lives and made a difference. Our Bronze Bar ceremony is a tradition that supports our legacy of high quality service," said Fire/EMS Chief Adrian Thompson.
Bronze Bars will be awarded to nine members of the department: Captain Edward L. Smith, Sergeant Gregory Crowe, Firefighter Chad Breen, Firefighter Wayne Darmstead, Firefighter Robert Feeney, Firefighter Patrick McMahn, Firefighter John Schunk, Firefighter Christopher Turner, and Firefighter Christopher Zdobsyz.
