Groundbreaking for New Tenleytown Firehouse

A new design has been agreed upon for the new fire station that will house Engine 20, Truck 12 and Ambulance 20. Built in 1901, this house was originally designed for horse-drawn fire wagons. Realizing the growing needs of the community, Fire/EMS officials, city leaders, and community activists partnered on a design that not only improves the Fire/EMS Department's ability to provide needed service, it preserves the historical nature of the neighborhood.
