DC Fire-EMS Conducts MVA Extrication Drill

(Washington, DC) The DC Fire/EMS Training Academy will conduct a training session designed to give firefighters an opportunity to practice getting seriously injured victims out of motor vehicle accidents.

Firefighters and EMS providers are called upon to rescue and treat victims who’ve been involved in serious car crashes hundreds of times per year. Using real crashed cars and cadets posing as victims, the session will allow firefighters a realistic setting in which to practice extrication and treatment procedures.
