Public Information and Community Affairs

The Public Information Office/Public Affairs Office for the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (DC FEMS) has the official responsibility of disseminating information to the public on Departmental programs and services, conducting community outreach and fire safety education programs and ensuring high quality customer service.

The Public Information Office/Public Affairs Office operates as a resource on behalf of DC FEMS to facilitate media relations, messages, and imaging and brand management. The office is also responsible for managing and directing internal communications, including but not limited to intergovernmental and employee relations.
