The mission of the LGBT Liaison Office is to foster goodwill by promoting professionalism, inclusiveness, education, and understanding of the needs of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. The LGBT Liaison serves as an ambassador within the FEMS family and to the LGBT community at large. The LGBT Liaison is the Department's agent in facilitating an environment that cherishes and nurtures diversity. The LGBT Liaison is a part of the diversity management team and, as such, will endeavor to resolve issues important to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community throughout the District of Columbia.
