| Fire/EMS Emergency Evacuation Plan Guide: Medical Emergency
Medical emergencies include any condition that could threaten someone's life or well-being. These may include breathing problems, unconsciousness, cardiac arrest, severe bleeding, choking, and bodily injuries.
Action should be taken in all cases of medical emergency. Upon observation or notification of the emergency, take the following actions:

If you are able, render first aid/CPR or obtain assistance from someone who can provide care.

Activate the EMS system by calling 911. Provide the following information to the 911 operator:
- Answer the 911 operator's questions as thoroughly and clearly as possible.

Stay on the line until the 911 operator tells you to hang up.

Stay with the victim until help arrives.

Another person should meet emergency personnel and bring them to the victim. |
