Adult Protocols Manual
These are the current District of Columbia Pre-Hospital Medical Protocols. This edition of the protocols was created in 2002, and was the first major revision in ten years. A new comprehensive 2009 revision for D.C. Fire & EMS has just been completed and is now circulating for review and comment. The new draft protocols are available on the agency website. The 2002 protocols will remain in effect until the 2009 revision, review, and approval process is completed.
The Adult Protocols are divided into 16 sections, including the introductory section and the appendix. All of the protocols are available in Adobe Acrobat format.
Pediatric Protocols Manual
The District of Columbia Pediatric Protocols were develped by Children's Hospital, which worked closely with the DC Fire/EMS Department.
The Pediatric Protocols are divided into seven sections and a normal vital signs chart. All of the protocols are available in Adobe Acrobat format
