Communications Division The Communications Division maintains communications with and dispatches all Fire and Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) Department units to the scene of emergencies. The division also: Processes calls for FEMS and dispatches the appropriate apparatus for the situation Coordinates telephone, computer, and radio needs for all fire companies and offices within the agency Works with Management Information Systems to purchase, lease, and install telecommunications equipment Provides a radio repair service for all fire department radio equipment
