We provide protection to the President of the United States, Congress, and foreign embassies.   Paramedic/Firefighter entry-level examinations are administered by the DC Department of Human Resources. The most recent Firefighter/EMT Entry Level Exam was administered on May 20, 2006. These exams are given once every two to three years, so the next Firefighter/EMT Entry Level Exam will not be administered before 2008. The Department is actively recruiting National Registry Certified EMT-Paramedics (NREMTP) to serve as dual-role Paramedic/Firefighters.
