Fire/EMS Offers Child Safety Seat Installation on August 14
(Washington, DC) Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death of children over the age of six months in the United States. The proper use of child car seats is one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of our young children in the event of a motor vehicle crash.
In cooperation with the DC Department of Transportation, DC Fire/EMS offers residents monthly opportunities to have certified child safety seat technicians install and inspect child seats in their vehicles. The next session is scheduled for Sunday, August 14th from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Engine 24. The firehouse is located at 5101 Georgia Ave., NW. All residents are invited.
Fire/EMS can also provide this service by appointment. Residents who wish to schedule a child safety seat appointment should call (202) 727-1778. |
