The Georgetown “Social” Safeway is teaming up with the District of Columbia’s Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services for a Community Wellness and Safety Fair, on Saturday, January 28, beginning at 10 am.

Home Fire Safety Inspection

These home inspections are conducted as a courtesy of the FEMS Department's Firefighting Division. They will look for overloaded outlets, working smoke detectors, unobstructed exit routes from your home, and good visibility from the street.

Smoke Alarm Program ASSAP

The A’sia Sutton Smoke Alarm Giveaway and Installation Program is a DC Fire and EMS Department District-wide initiative to ensure that all District of Columbia homes have working smoke alarms.

CPR Training

The DC Fire/EMS Department offers Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training to members of the community on the first and fourth Thursday of every month.

Child Safety Seat Program

The DC Fire & EMS Department offers free Child Car Safety Seat Inspection services by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4 pm at 4600 Shepherd Parkway, SW.
